So-Do

Time Capsule gathers up the complete recordings of the short-lived Japanese post-punk group So-Do, fronted by Hideshi Akuta who went on to have a brief solo career. This handful of songs, released initially across two 7” singles and a 12” EP between 1983 and 1985, takes a psychedelic and inventive approach to dub and post-punk and shows why they were one of the most influential bands in Japan’s fledgling independent scene at the start of the eighties.
